elevateHer has opened registration for their fall programming session. They are seeking what they call “rad adventure girls” from grades six to 12 to participate in their donation-based outdoor programming for Chaffee County girls.

This programming includes 10 weeks of rock climbing, hiking, biking yoga, wilderness awareness classes, and more. To sign up for this fall adventure, email or call 719-270-0550.

Founded in early 2017, elevateHER is targeted towards young women, grades 6-12.

elevateHER began programming after identifying a variety of major barriers to outdoor access for girls to participate in outdoor activities, including cost, lack of knowledge, and early exposure to substance abuse.

By combatting these barriers through a holistic approach that is focused around empowering the mind, body, and soul, their mission emerged: to foster self-worth and grit in young women through mentoring, outdoor adventure, and holistic wellness programs.

After a year of programming and testing, organizers say they are excited to expand beyond Buena Vista, Colorado, into several surrounding areas, and to impact more young women than ever before.
