On June 16 the Salida City Council unanimously voted Erin Kelley in as permanent City Clerk.

Kelley has been serving as Interim City Clerk since February of 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Arizona State University and a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida.

“I truly cherish my community and look forward to supporting the public in my new position,” said Kelley.

Kelley transitioned into the role of City Clerk after spending four and a half years working for the City’s Fire Department. Kelley’s first professional role was in the Florida Legislature managing legislative bill history and informing the public of the status of pending bills.

“The City of Salida is thrilled to have Erin permanently fill the role as our new City Clerk. Erin has shown a great commitment to the City organization and to the community at large,” said Mayor P.T. Wood.”

She stepped into the role under really tough circumstances following Sonia Walter’s passing in January and really took a leadership role immediately with our organization,” he added. “This appointment is really an extension of all of the hard work Erin has put into the job already.”
