The Forest Health Council will meet virtually from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. this Wednesday, April 26 and begin the meeting with a review of a proposal and decision on “Assessing Structure Ignition Potential in the WUI”.
It will get an update on the Forest Health Council (FHC) web map and briefly discuss the community evacuation preparedness situation.
Chaffee County Commissioner Greg Felt and Chaffee Fire District Chief Robert Bertram will lead a brief discussion regarding the current status of the county’s Land Use Code update.
The group will get a funding update and review their prescribed burn action since their last meeting, along with the treatment action plan for 2023.
There will be an update by the U.S. Forest Service and others on treatment plans for Lake County and Chaffee County (the Burning Together Program) followed by an educational video.
