Fremont County has announced that  as of 3:54 p.m. on February 25, 4,492 vaccines, including first and second doses, have been distributed.

It had a total of 5,465 positive COVID-19 cases, with 91 in the past 14 days. 2,394 of those positives were community members while 3,071 were Department of Corrections/Bureau of Prisons (DOC/BOP) cases. The total number of hospitalizations was 135 with 32 currently active. The county had a total of 49 deaths. There are six new community cases and five new DOC cases.

Effective February 17, the county switched to Level Blue: Cautious on the COVID-19 State Dial.

This allows kindergarten through twelfth grade to be in-person and allows for a 50-person capacity for sports and camps. Higher education is in-person and critical along with noncritical retail can operate at 50 percent capacity.

Restaurants can now operate under 50 percent capacity or 175 people. Outdoor dining requires six feet of separation between parties per local zoning.
