As Colorado’s COVID-19 numbers continue to rise, neighboring communities are responding with free drive-thru testing. No requirements are necessary, but registration is encouraged to shorten wait times.

The Fremont County Health Department at 201 N. 6th St. in Cañon City offers testing Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Enter the site through the alley between FCDPHE and Greenwood Ave.

In Cotopaxi, testing is available from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sundays at 345 County Road 12.

Individuals tested must be inside an enclosed vehicle for safety. No walk-ups or motorcycles are allowed through the testing site.

The site is open to neighboring counties. No physician order or insurance is required, and all testing is free.

When going to the community testing site, a nasal swab sample is collected by MAKO staff. Testing will be provided to individuals 2 years of age or older. The testing programs operate on a four-day turnaround, with participants receiving online results.
