The Chaffee County Republicans have announced that District 60 Representative Ron Hanks will be the featured speaker at their 6:30 p.m. December 13 meeting at the Salida Library.

Hanks has continued his vitriolic stance against the results of the 2020 election, and the Democratic Party in what appears to be an eye toward enhancing his status in the Republican Party.
This past summer, he announced himself as a candidate to run against U.S. Senator Michael Bennet in the 2022 Senate race. In September, he issued an open letter to President Joe Biden; a laundry list of his accusations and grievances.
Hanks recently filed a lawsuit against Colorado Secretary of State Jenna Griswold, reported on by the group calling itself the U.S. Election Integrity Plan (USEIP) This case is not a USEIP lawsuit. (Last week, AVV reported on the spread of these election conspiracy groups across several states)
