In honor of Thanksgiving, the Crew at Ark Valley Voice (AVV) has Thanksgiving Day off to spend with their families. We’ll resume our regular daily publishing schedule on Friday, November 24.

We wish you and yours a most wonderful and memorable 2023 Thanksgiving Day, spent with those you love, and mindful of the blessings that matter most to you.

This year gas is lower, the cost of turkeys is down, and so is the cost of eggs. The world is more fractured, another election has come and gone (this one peaceable), we still have local challenges in workforce housing, our climate is in danger — but if you’re reading this, you survived COVID.

Gratitude is not just a word — it’s an attitude. It has to be practiced to take root.

Ark Valley Voice is grateful for our thousands of readers who have put their trust in us to provide fact-based, unbiased news that truly gives truth a voice. We are grateful for the hundreds of donors over the past five and a half years of our existence who have demonstrated their belief in Ark Valley Voice nonprofit news. This year with journalists around the world under threat, we are especially grateful for the camaraderie and professionalism of our AVV Crew.

Much lies ahead of us all, but if as a people we can be both civil and hopeful, perhaps we can all find a way together.
