The Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Foundation announced on Thursday, Dec. 20 that it has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Colorado Grand, a vintage car touring club hosted locally by the noon Salida Rotary Club. The Colorado Grand tour events have raised $6 million to date, which it provides to selected Colorado charities.

“The money will be used to help purchase a smart board and software package for our hospital’s Incident Command Center, which manages emergency situations at the hospital and within the community,” said Foundation Director Kimla Robinson.

As Chaffee County residents have come to know, the HRRMC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, focuses primarily on areas that support Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center’s mission but aren’t included within the parameters of the hospital’s budget.

The Foundation’s mission is” to provide financial resources to Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center to enhance the health of our community through the delivery of personalized and exceptional care.”
