Voters in the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center  (HRRMC) hospital district are being reminded of upcoming deadlines to apply for and complete an absentee ballot for the Board of Directors election scheduled for May 3.

Allison Gergley, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, said voters who don’t wish to wait until election day can fill out an application for an absentee ballot on the HRRMC website or in person from Designated Election Official Juanita Ward.

Applications and ballots are available now through Tuesday, April 26 from the administration offices on the second floor of the main hospital campus at 1000 Rush Drive in Salida between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Ballots can continue to be dropped off after Tuesday, April 26 through election day (Tuesday, May 3).  Ballots can also be mailed, Gergley said.

All ballots will need to be received by 7:00 p.m. on election day, May 3. Ballots can be mailed to HRRMC’s address below, but if citizens are concerned about their ballots being received on time, they can also drop them off in person at the hospital directly. Staff at the front entrance will direct them to Juanita Ward’s area, where the ballot box is located.
