The Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28.
The Consent Agenda includes approval for the October 24 board meeting minutes, the tentative 2024 board meeting schedule, and capital purchase requests for Dialysis equipment and a Sonosite Portable Ultrasound.
The dialysis equipment plus shipping costs $172,721.
The Sonosite Portable Ultrasound costs $34,002. It is a demo unit discounted from a new unit price of $59,290.
Chief Financial Officer Karen Miller will present the 2024 budget for review. Included in this focus topic are resolutions to adopt the budget, appropriate sums of money, and to set the mill levy.
If approved, the resolution to set the mill levy will actually see a temporary tax mill levy reduction of 0.266 mills, dropping to 0.869 mills from 1.135 for the 2024 budget year. This is “to help defray the costs of government for the Salida Hospital District,” according to the resolution in the meeting packet.
Miller will also deliver the finance report. CEO Bob Morasko will deliver the CEO and administrative reports. The board will also hear reports from the finance committee, facilities and strategic planning committee, and the Foundation.
The board will adjourn to executive session to discuss confidential matters (including, but not limited to, Quality Issues and Physician Credentialing), property interests (Senior Living), and [contract] negotiations.
The next meeting is set for Tuesday, December 19 at 1:00 p.m. in the HRRMC Shavano Conference room or by Zoom. The public is invited to attend meetings in person or by Zoom to deliver public comment.
