The Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) Board of Directors regular meeting is set for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26. The focus topic for the meeting is The Hospitalist Program Spotlight to be delivered by Vice President of Nursing April Asbury.

The Consent Agenda includes the approval of minutes for the August 22 regular meeting and the September 5 special board meeting and a capital purchase request for Comfort Gel Mattresses. According to the meeting packet, the current mattresses are reaching the end of their five-year life span and need replacement.

The new mattresses are quoted at $22,626.

Chief of Staff Joshua Visitacion will deliver the medical staff report. Vice President of Fiscal Services Karen Miller will give the finance report, and CEO Bob Morasko will deliver the CEO and administrative reports.

There will also be reports from the Finance Committee and Facilities and Strategic Planning Committee with Dr. Dan Wardrop delivering the Foundation Report.

No new or old business is listed on the agenda.

The Board will move into executive session for “matters required to be kept confidential by federal or state law (including, but not limited to, Quality Issues and Physician Credentialing) – C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(c); C.R.S. 12-36.6, et. seq., 4 C.R.S.; and U.S. Health Care Quality Improvement Act of 1986, 42 U.S.C., Section 11101, et. seq.”

The topics for the executive session listed on the agenda include the Quality Performance and Improvement Report, the Risk Management Report, and the Grievance Report.

The next meeting of the HRRMC Board is set for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24 in the HRRMC Shavano Conference Room at the hospital in Salida and on Zoom. The Zoom link is accessible through HRRMC’s events calendar, which is available online.
