The Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) Board of Directors will review a Quality Management and Performance Improvement Plan model at its regular meeting Tuesday, Feb. 28.

The far-reaching plan stresses priorities including care that’s accessible, safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, equitable, and appropriate.

Areas of focus include management with oversight of specific care processes, and assisting staff and departments in improving organization performance and patient outcomes. A Quality Alliance Committee and the board will be directly involved with planning quality improvement process redesigns and reviews. The organization and process will be presented by Christine Blaney-McMillan.

Bob Morasko, CEO, Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center.

As previously reported by Ark Valley Voice, CEO Bob Morasko will report on assuming operations at the South Park Health Care facility in Fairplay on March 1. He will also review plans for employee housing and a hospitality house on the HRRMC campus as well as other management developments.

Vice President of Fiscal Services Lesley Fagerberg will report on finances through the first month of the year.

The board will also review updated construction cost estimates for an magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit with an uninterruptible power source that will increase the projected cost from nearly $878,000 to just over one million dollars; as well as review capital equipment purchase requests from various departments.

The Board of Directors session will be by Zoom meeting only, starting at 12:00 noon today.
