Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Clinics has made a donation of three automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to Chaffee County Search and Rescue. An AED is used to help someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.

Epp said HRRMC has standardized all the defibrillators in the hospital and its clinics and decided to donate the former devices. The donation was formally received on June 27. Chaffee County Search and Rescue -South President Evan Brady expressed appreciation for the donation. He said they plan to install one on each of their primary response vehicles.
