UPDATE: As of Tuesday, February 3, HRRMC will be expanding the clinic described below to include those aged 65 and older in the Phase 1B.2 category set forth by CDPHE in order to minimize dose wastage and maximize efficiency. Community members included in Phase 1B.2 should use the online scheduler to make their appointment.
Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) will host its first COVID-19 community vaccination clinic from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 5. The clinic will be hosted at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds, 10165 County Road 120, in Salida.
The clinic is open to community members who fall into Phase 1A and some 1B categories set by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), including healthcare workers, first responders, and Coloradans aged 70 and older. Eligible community members can schedule their appointment online at https://hrrmcvaccines.rsvpify.com/.
“HRRMC is committed to offering additional COVID-19 vaccines to the community,” said CEO Bob Morasko. “Moving the vaccination effort forward with all of the resources we have available is a key priority for us at this time.”
Community members will need to sign up prior to their arrival at the fairground. Vaccines will be administered through each person’s vehicle. Drivers will come in through the main entrance and be met at the checkpoint to receive further instructions.

For those unable to print the consent form, copies will be available at the main entrance to the hospital and all HRRMC clinics ahead of the Friday community vaccination clinic. HRRMC emphasizes that anyone who signs up should come with their paperwork completed to minimize traffic.
