Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC)  is becoming more regional, at least in name if not geographic area. HRRMC and South Park Health Care (SPHC) have finalized an agreement that will result in HRRMC assuming management of the Fairplay-based clinic in Park County, beginning Wed., March 1, 2023.

The clinic will operate under the name HRRMC South Park Health Care. Dr. Katherine Fitting, M.D., and board-certified, family nurse practitioner Heike Petersen, FNP-BC, will continue providing care to the Park County community at the clinic. There will be no pause in services, as all clinic staff and providers will remain with the clinic.

HRRMC SPHC will provide family medicine care for patients of all ages, including children, adults, and older adults. SPHC will also offer laboratory and direct access lab services, x-rays, and a limited offering of pre-packaged pharmaceutical needs.

“We are excited to work with Dr. Fitting, Ms. Petersen, and the staff at South Park Health Care to continue offering medical services to the community in Fairplay and its surrounding areas,” said HRRMC CEO Bob Morasko.. We are working diligently to transition care smoothly, with the goal of adding more services later in 2023 and in the future.”

The clinic is located at 525 Hathaway Street in Fairplay, and will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
