Wrapping up new business will be a discussion and first reading of an “Ordinance of the City Council for the City of Salida, Colorado Submitting the Question to Electors of Whether to Convey the Real Property Known as the Salida Community Center to Salida Senior Citizens, Inc. for Use as the Salida Community Center or Other Similar Non-Profit Purposes”.

First discussed in a work session on June 21, the idea received broad Council support and guidance for staff to fine tune the proposed ballot language.

If approved, the question moves to a public hearing on July 19 and ultimately may appear on the ballot at the General Election on November 8, 2022.

Salida Council Member and Salida Mayor reports will conclude the evening.
