KHEN 3rd Annual Back to School Block Party

Today,  from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug 22, KHEN Radio will host its 3rd Annual Block Party at 3rd Street (between E and F) to welcome the community back to school.

KHEN posted on their FaceBook page the food, fun and entertainment that can be expected at the block party.

“We have over 17 local nonprofit booths, a giant bouncy slide, a giant bouncy house, four food trucks, free cotton candy, a Smoothy booth, the Salida Circus.” The nonprofit community radio station will also provide “live music with articipate, chalk drawing, face painting, free popcorn and more fun!”

Live coverage of the block party will be provided by Mark and Jimmy from “Fridays at 3”  They’ll take to the airwaves to provide their own brand of entertainment featuring guests and live-action commentary.

Underwriters of this free-to-the-pubic event include Walmart, High Country Bank, Monarch Ski Resort and Amicas. More information about the event can be found by visiting KHEN’s website.
