Dear Editor,

We have some exciting news to share with our community! After receiving much feedback from members, volunteers, donors and the community, the local leadership team of A Little Help has decided that it is in the best interest of all to separate from the Denver office and become an independent nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization based in Chaffee County.

It is with great pleasure that we announce that we will have a new name, Ark Valley Helping Hands, effective immediately. This change will allow us to have more control over service delivery, keep all of our resources local and continue expanding services to seniors in our county. We want everyone to know that we will continue the “pay what you can” policy for membership, with a suggested donation of $225/year. However, no one will be denied services due to inability to pay. Current accounts will be honored until their renewal date.

Our goal is to continue serving seniors to allow them to remain in their home and in our community for as long as possible. We want this transition to be seamless for everyone. Please don’t hesitate to contact our coordinator Sara Ward at 719-530-1198 or info.AVHH@gmail.com [mailto:info.AVHH@gmail.com] for more information.

Sincerely,
AVHH Board of Directors
