Crossroads Gathering, a band comprised of Arkansas Valley locals, is performing a benefit concert on from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Crossroads Gathering’s set will include Irish jigs, driving reels and beautiful Irish airs.
The concert will be held at the Congregational United Church of Christ at 217 Crossman Avenue in Buena Vista. The event is free, but all donations will be passed directly to the Arkansas Valley Christian Mission that depends heavily on donations, and on events like this one to support its cause.
Crossroads Gathering features band members Randy and Carole Barnes, Pablo Hadzeriga and Sue Greiner. Collectively, the group plays a variety of unique instruments. Including the hammered dulcimer, Irish whistle, guitar, fiddle and concertina.
The group members boast a strong history in Buena Vista and the Arkansas Valley. Randy Barnes recently retired from Darren Patterson Christian Academy where he was the music director. Sue Greiner, along with her husband, owns Wilderness Aware Rafting in Buena Vista. Pablo Hadzeriga owns 20/20 Property Inspections.
