A nearly full house at ‘A’ Church Sunday gathered to hear an array of musical talent as Salida Aspen Concerts hosted another popular Locals Concert.

The talented line-up included pianist Dr. Yufen Chou, vocalist and saxophonist André Wilkins, flutist Justice Wise, clarinetist Katie Oglesby, vocalist Mary Sandell and pianist David Reis. They performed works by J.S. Bach, Richard Strauss, Enrique Granados, Cole Porter, and others, individually and in groups where they were warmly received by the audience.
Salida Aspen Concerts 47th season begins July 8 with concerts every Saturday for six weeks, featuring artists participating in the Aspen Music Festival.
The annual Locals Concert is a fundraiser for the Salida Aspen concert series each summer. The organization’s membership drive begins in May. For more information on concert schedules and sponsorships, go to www.salidaaspenconcerts.org.
