Chaffee County Clerk and Recorder Lori Mitchell has announced that a lot drawing will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, July 20, to determine the order of names on the Nov. 6 general election ballot. The lot drawing is open to the public.
Four contests with multiple candidates will be determined in the drawing: county commissioner for District 3, county treasurer, county coroner and county sheriff. In reference to the county sheriff race, the drawing is only to determine the order of the last two candidates, as incumbent John Spezze will be in the first position.
The drawing will be held at the Chaffee County Clerk and Recorder’s office, 104 Crestone Ave., Salida.
