Monday, Jan. 16, 2023 is celebrated as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, marking the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. It is observed on the third Monday of January each year.
The accompanying “King Day of Service” is the only federal holiday commemorated as a national day of service, offering an opportunity for Americans to give back to their communities on the Holiday and make an ongoing commitment to service throughout the year.
