Contact the event organizers for information about rescheduled events. Please contact us if you would like to notify us of a cancelled event.

  • The Engaging in Aging May 16 event at the Fairgrounds has been cancelled (it will be rescheduled, but not date has been set).
  • The March 19th Business After Hours has been Cancelled by High Country Bank and the Buena Vista Chamber.
  • Our Mother Earth Festival – May 16 at Riverside Park
  • Buena Vista – April 7 town elections are cancelled
  • Chaffee Home & Garden and Garden Show scheduled for April 4 and 5 is cancelled.
  • Wild Connections “joins with many others to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 by cancelling the March 21 25th anniversary slide show and hike. We hope to reschedule it for later in the year.”
  • Chaffee County Community Foundation “out of an abundance of caution & to contribute to halting the spread of the virus, is cancelling or postponing all March events and trainings. We will assess our April trainings and events at the end of the month.”
  • Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet is cancelled.
  • Salida Circus Spring Break Circus Camp scheduled March 23-27 has been canceled. Refunds, or credits for the next workshops/camps are available.
  • All Chaffee County 4-H youth events and activities  that would normally be at the Fairground have been moved to online and virtual events.
  • Salida’s 15th Annual Run Through Time event has been cancelled: ” If the race is rescheduled, anyone who had registered for the Run Through Time (this includes all runners who had emailed about not being able to attend on Saturday) will be entered in the rescheduled event.”
  • Ark Valley Humane Society — closed to the public beginning March 14, for an undetermined period of time.
  • Chaffee Home and Garden Show, which was scheduled for April 4-5, is cancelled.
  • Silent Disco Soccer Fundraiser, which was scheduled for Sat. March 14 at  A Church, is cancelled.
  • Central Colorado Humanists April 5 Sunday Science event is cancelled.
  • Salida School District’s Showing of Screenagers: Part II  has been cancelled
  • Salida Council for the Art’s April Creative Mixer
  • Colorado Mountain College Commencement Spring Ceremonies cancelled: :”All spring in-person commencement ceremonies will be canceled due to the precautions that are being taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19″

  • Central Colorado Humanists April 5 Sunday Science event is moving online.  “To participate in the presentation, please email the GARNA office at info@garna.org
  • Monarch Ski Resort, and all other Colorado ski resorts are closed for one week beginning March 15 on executive orders of Governor Jared Polis.
  • The 2020 UAS Roundup scheduled for April 19-20 is rescheduled for September 8-9.
  • Salida Soup 56 is moving its event online
  • Embracing Aging Planning Committee has rescheduled the event from May 16 to Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds.
  • Custer County School District – Westclift High School musical”Matilda” is postponed, new date is tentatively to be set on April 6.
  • March 12 Chaffee County Community Foundation Community Food Systems public meeting in Salida-  rescheduled for April 30th
  • KHEN’s Women Who Rock celebration event will be postponed one week.
  • Colorado Mountain College – for students only, spring break will be extended by one week, through March 20, 2020.Beginning March 23, all credit, English as a second language and GED/HSE classes will move to an online or Webex environment for a period of three weeks, or through April 12, 2020.
  • Valley Visions Exhibit- New Date to be Determined.
  • Central Colorado Humanists April 5 Sunday Science event is moving online.
