After months of planning and preparation, Monarch Mountain opened at 9 a.m. on November 27. Monarch gave a shout out to their staff for making the opening possible as the ski resort has worked through hundreds of adjustments to be able to operate in this year’s COVID-19 pandemic environment.

The mountain operations team advises that to avoid a line at guest services, pick up your season passes at the Outpost in Downtown Salida.

Monarch plans to open with four lifts and approximately 50 percent of trails.

Single and multi-day lift tickets are available for purchase at the ticket windows any day through December 11.

Ticket windows open at 8:15 a.m. and tickets are also available online up to the day before arrival.

Starting on December 12 and December 28 through January 1, tickets must be pre-purchased online for weekends. No onsite tickets will be available.
