Monarch Mountain with the support of the Salida Council for the Arts (SCFTA), is looking to commission a piece of art from a local Chaffee County artist.
The winning artwork will be used in an upcoming marketing campaign, with the goal of celebrating the rich artistic culture of Salida and the connection Salida has with Monarch Mountain.
In exchange for artwork Monarch Mountain intends to give the artist a season pass. Applications are due Friday, January 31. The Artist Selection will take place on February 14, with the final art due on May 1.
