The Salida Council for the Arts (SCFTA) hosted their monthly Creative Mixer in Salida on Thursday, July 11. The event exhibited paintings and pastel work by artist, Mary Hansen Wolfe, with a special performance by musicians, The Wail n’ Hennies.

Wolfe stated that she had sold a few paintings on the opening night of her gallery and the evening of the Creative Mixer. Wolfe found herself surrounded by friends and the community.

The Creative Mixers are held on the second Thursday in the SteamPlant event center as a free monthly gathering. The SCFTA sees this as a “gathering of those interested in knowing more about the local arts scene in a casual social setting.”
