As of around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29 Interstate 70 through Glenwood Canyon is closed in both directions due to a multi-vehicle accident. With bad winter driving conditions and both holiday and ski resort traffic, this is only the latest closure of Interstate 70 due to multi-car accidents during this holiday week.
At first word at least 17 cars and seven semi-trucks are involved in this latest incident. There is no estimated time of reopening.
