Salida, never loath to find an excuse for celebration, is observing St. Patrick’s Day, Friday March 17, with a number of music acts at venues around the city. Anyone wishing to lift up a glass and support their local musicians will find ample opportunity to do so at any of the following venues:

From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Vino Salida, 10495 CR 120 in Poncha Springs, will be featuring fiddler Andrea Early Coen with guitarist Dale Anderson for some traditional Irish and American tunes.

For that creamy and delicious blend of traditional feel with rock and roll brio, Bruce Hayes and Friends will be playing at Benson’s Tavern, 128 F Street in Salida, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Hayes plays “Rhythm & Celtgrass” music, which he describes as “a fusion of musical styles that combines acoustic and electric instrumentation with elements of Rock, Bluegrass, Celtic, and R&B”.
