For the first time ever, the One Earth Film Festival will be held  virtually from March 5 to the 14. This film festival is the Midwest’s premier environmental festival and creates opportunities for understanding climate change, sustainability and the power of human involvement. The festival is a production of Green Community Connections.

Through sustainability-themed films and facilitated discussion, their mission is to educate, raise awareness and inspire the adoption of solution-oriented sustainable actions.

This year’s festival includes over 20 different films such as “Dammed to Extinction” and “Kiss the Ground”. To see the full list click here. Unless ticket prices are indicated, each movie is free with a suggested donation of eight dollars.

The festival covers topics from environmental and social justice to waste and recycling as well as clean energy. Each film offers a chance to learn about solutions to these issues from your own living room.  Many of the films also include discussions with the filmmakers or action partners to identify ways for you to add your voice and take action on important environmental and justice issues.
