“We need to hear from you about your experiences both good and bad parking downtown,” read a recent press release from the City of Salida.

Walker Consultants was chosen out of six firms that bid for the project to conduct a parking analysis. The press release from the City invited residents to weigh-in about their parking concerns. Saying “[Walker Consultants] and city staff will be available to record your thoughts and present preliminary findings.”

The open house is one of several meetings the community will be able to voice concerns and engage with the planning process. The timeline and schedule of the project suggest that these meetings will take place in September and October during the recommendation and implementation processes.
