The Partnership for Community Action (PFCA) has launched a new countywide program, known as the YAS! CLUB (Your Authentic Self). YAS! Club is a vibrant youth program designed to create a safe and inclusive space for Queer youth and their allies.
The club offers a platform for youth to form meaningful friendships, engage in exciting activities, and find the support they need in their journey of self-discovery and acceptance. YAS! Club is not just a club, but a community that celebrates diversity, promotes understanding, and encourages everyone to embrace their authentic selves. “This club and clubs like it have been proven to reduce suicidal ideation and isolation in youth and provide a safe place for them to access support and build community,” explains PFCA Director of Policy + Programming Jimmy Sellars.
