News Update as of 5 p.m. MST: in a press release from the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), the property search being conducted by the CCSO, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), of a residential property on the east side of Salida, has concluded for the day. Contrary to what the CCSOF calls “widespread rumors … Ms. Morphew has not been located and there have been no arrests in the investigation.”

As of 1 p.m.: The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has announced that based on information developed during the Suzanne Morphew missing person case, investigators with the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are conducting a search at a residential property on the east side of Salida.

The property owner is fully cooperative with law enforcement and is not connected with the disappearance of Ms. Morphew. No details about the search are being released at this time. Additionally, it is not known how long this search will take law enforcement.

According to CBI Communications Director Susan Medina, the CBI says that there will be no updates during the search, but an update will be provided at the conclusion of the search.
