Chaffee County Public Health will host a Buena Vista Community Appreciation neet and greet on Wednesday, May 1, from 2-4 p.m., at the Watershed at 410 East Main St.

“The team at CCPH is extremely excited to spend the afternoon connecting with community members that might not already be aware of current programming and who want to learn more about what CCPH has to offer,” said CCPH Executive Director Andrea Carlstrom. “We encourage everybody to stop by to pick up valuable health and wellness information, and hopefully win a prize.”

Representatives from CCPH’s Lead and Radon Education and Awareness Programs will be on hand to provide information on prevention and mitigation/abatement strategies as well as free home test kits. The Chaffee County Child Passenger Safety Program will be providing free, child car seat checks and the Immunization Program will be available to look-up immunization records and provide guidance on how to get caught up on immunizations, if necessary.

In addition to these featured CCPH programs at this free community event, several community partners of CCPH will have resources and giveaways to share with the community on a first come, first serve basis. Carlstrom said there will be drawings for gift cards and other prizes and light refreshments will be served.
