The agenda for the Chaffee Board of County Commissioners regular meeting beginning at 9 a.m. April 16 at the Buena Vista School District meeting room, 113 N. Court St., Buena Vista will include the public hearing for the permit for the SCA Battlemoor X special event. The proposed event is scheduled for July 9-14, 2019 at the Meadows Farm, 15100 CR 350, Buena Vista. Consideration of approval also includes the event’s setup days (July six, seven and eight) and site cleanup on July 15. There will be no alcohol sales at the event and no amplified sounds or music.

The county will also consider a request to waive the special permit fee for the Colorado High School Cycling League Chalk Creek Stampede to be held beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, September 7-8, 2019.

Also on the agenda is consideration of two new medical marijuana optional premise cultivation licenses for PG Grow II (to be operated at 7800 CR 152), and a Boundary Line Adjustment from Nestle Waters North America, Inc. and S.L. Jacobson. The property is located at 22565 CR 300, Nathrop.

Commissioners will consider a resolution that would adopt formal policies and procedures for the purchasing of goods and services and contracting (particularly regarding sole source contracting) as well as three other policies: an equal employment opportunity policy statement, a federal whistle-blower protection policy and a financial policies and procedure

Commissioners plan an executive session scheduled for approximately 10:30 a.m. to receive legal advice on specific legal questions in connection with the possible renegotiation of the settlement agreement with the Pueblo West Municipal Utility District and re-vegetation of the former Hill Ranchlands.
