The Learning Source, a nonprofit educational provider has announced its Free Summer Semester English As a Second Language (ESL) Classes for Chaffee and Lake Counties. Provided in partnership with local libraries, the summer semester intensive classes begin July 11 and classes are available to adults in Chaffee and Lake counties.

“We are excited to continue our programming, designed to promote education for adults and their families to the mountain region of Colorado,” said Lindsay Rice, mountain programs coordinator. “Our goal is to reach and serve new students in the area and help them achieve their work and life dreams.”

English language classes are multilevel and held at the Salida and Buena Vista libraries, Full Circle of Leadville and online. Most classes are in-person, and available at no cost, which includes books, class materials and licenses for online learning platforms.

Class Dates and Times: 

July 11 to September 17

Salida Regional Library 

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Buena Vista Public Library 

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

Leadville- Full Circle of Leadville and ONLINE 

Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Learning Source is a nonprofit organization based in Denver that promotes and provides educational opportunities through collaborative partnerships for adults and families to support their future achievements.  Their programs are being expanded into the central Colorado mountain communities in recognition of the area’s immigrant population.
