The Buena Vista Recreation Department will host a public open house on Thursday, January 20, 2022, to update the community on the Rodeo Grounds and Chicago Ranch Master Plan. The meetings will be held at the Community Center, 715 East Main St, Buena Vista, CO 81211, with two presentations at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to capture a large audience.
The department posted a survey for public input on the Rodeo Grounds and Chicago Ranch on my-bv.com that ran from November 2, 2021, to December 1, 2021. The department received 274 responses in the time the survey was open, asking respondents about what activities they’d like to see in the area, how often they visit the grounds, and the biggest concerns they’d like to see addressed in the master plan.
The open house will include an exploration of the survey results and information from stakeholder interviews, the opportunity for the community to share ideas and insight, and participation in the development of a draft master plan.
