Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is proud to announce that their 2021 scholarship has been awarded to Raley Patch of Salida. This scholarship awards an annual amount of $1,000 for four recurring years, subject to a renewal process each year.
Patch, a senior at Salida High School, will attend Colorado State University this fall and pursue a major in biochemistry with a pre-pharmacy concentration. She has always had a strong interest in biology and chemistry and looks forward to combining these interests into a pharmaceutical research career.
Prerequisites for the scholarship include an interest in pursuing a career in the healthcare field and a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. The applicant must also be a senior attending a high school in Buena Vista, Cotopaxi or Salida and a resident of the Salida Hospital District.
HRRMC Auxiliary is a group of dedicated volunteers that support the hospital in providing services and medical equipment. They also operate the HRRMC Gift Shop. Anyone interested in becoming a member of HRRMC Auxiliary may contact the HRRMC Foundation office by calling 719-530-2218.
