A regional Verizon network service outage has been reported across parts of Western Colorado. It’s currently unclear how long it will last.
According to DownDetector, a website that patrols outages nationally, a wide swath of western Colorado and the Front Range continue to experience the outage, which started around noon Thursday.
The Eagle County Sheriff’s office posted on social media saying that they had spoken to a Verizon representative and it was reported that a major fiber line near Vail on I-70 had been cut. That line carries Verizon, Lumen, and other services throughout the state which could explain why such a large area is affected.
