The Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center is hosting workshop meetings Feb. 19, March 5 and March 19 at the Buena Vista Community Center, to discuss the Ride the Rockies Host Town event slated for June 10 and 11 in Buena Vista. The meetings are strategic planning and brainstorming sessions designed to help the Town of Buena Vista plan for the Ride the Rockies stop-over in June.

The chamber of commerce says the meetings are scheduled to allow small business owners to attend one or all of the work sessions. It also invites non-profit representatives, volunteers and residents to attend the sessions.

The Town of Buena Vista and the Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce have both endorsed the upcoming Ride the Rockies event as a unique economic opportunity for Buena Vista and its business owners. Last year, the Denver Post Community Foundation estimated “cyclists in 2018 spent an average of $250,000 in a 24-hour period in each town and many planned to return at a later date as tourists.”
