The city of Salida is accepting applications for community funding requests for fiscal year 2018 until close of business Friday, Feb. 16, 2018. Applications should include a financial summary of how the award will fit into the overall budget, program or project of the applicant’s organization.
The city has also updated its applicant requirements and expectations. The following types of organizations are eligible to apply for community funds:
- 501(c)(3) organizations such as associations and chambers, service clubs, museums, centers, councils, etc.
- Organizations that provide social service programs, special assistance or support, prevention programs, supplemental education, etc.
- Organizations that are involved in community improvement, arts, culture, etc.
Applications will be reviewed by a city staff members, who will then make recommendations to city council for final approval.
Financial awards will be reimbursed to finalists only after they submit a completed reimbursement form along with a final report detailing the effectiveness of the funded programs or projects. Requests for reimbursement must be received by the city’s Finance Department no later than Dec. 1, 2018, to ensure reimbursement.
