Harriet Alexander Field at Salida Airport is about to get a facelift, and will be closed to traffic for at least four days this coming week.

Airport Manager Zech Papp has announced due to the maintenance project on runway 6/24, the field will be closed from Tuesday, Sept. 20 through Monday, Sept. 26.
“The project will be doing a full crack fill/seal coat for the runway,” said Papp. “We will also be restriping the entire airfield. The plan is to have everything completed by Friday afternoon, the 24th, but we have to leave room for weather and unforeseen delays.”
