Colorado Creative Industries (CCI), which is a branch of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, has announced its 2019 Governor’s Creative Leadership Award winners.

The winners of the award will receive a work of art by local artist, Brice Turnbull, as a prize. Turnbull was selected through a call for proposals initiated by CCI.

Tony Garcia of Denver, Amy Kimberly of Carbondale and Evan Weismann of Denver were selected as winners of the Governor’s Creative Leadership Award. They will be honored during the 8th annual Creative Industries Summit on May 17 at the Salida SteamPlant.

“The Governor’s Creative Leadership Awards honor community members who have demonstrated a significant commitment to Colorado’s creative landscape through civic leadership and volunteerism including advocacy, vision, collaboration and innovation.” Reads the description of the award from CCI.

Turnbull, who creates custom lights for home or workplace, operates out of Salida. Turnbull’s work can be previewed on his website: www.briceturnbull.com.
