After taking 2020 off from life like everyone did during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Salida Arts Fair will return. Salida was rated 30 in John Villani’s book “The 100 Best Art Towns in America” and has been called one of the premier arts destinations in Colorado.

The seventh annual Salida Arts Festival will be held in Riverside Park adjacent to the F street plaza. The event will host new artists and many favorite returning artists, with their new work. The festival will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on July 17 and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on July 18.

The Arts Fair is run by and for artists. Jerry Scavezze has done shows for over 30 years. He points out that he understands the needs of artists and the importance of a show’s location.

The new Salida F Street Plaza has become wildly popular, and the show is set to go on right on this pedestrian-only space. The show will be limited to 80 juried artists.

Red Tischer will be playing music both days. To see a full list of participating artists, click here.
