The Salida School Board has released the list of verified candidates for the upcoming Board of Education Directors general election. The election will be held on November 2, 2021. At this election four directors will be elected representing District three, District four, District five and an at-large seat for a term of office for four years.

Two directors will be elected representing District one and District two for a term of office of two years, for a total of six seats to be elected. The mission of the Salida School District, in active partnership with family and community, is to ensure that each student is prepared to succeed in life, by providing quality instruction and progressive curriculum in a secure and challenging environment which will empower students with the skills necessary to achieve their greatest potential.

The Salida School Board is a group of volunteer citizens that have dedicated themselves to ensure that the schools are healthy. They oversee policies, systems, and the superintendent. They do not oversee the minutiae of classroom activity.

  • Carrie Coscarella-Mattix — who is currently on the school board

  • Jodi Breckenridge Petit — who currently holds the District two position

Director District 3

  • Mandy Paschall
  • Jennifer Adamson — write-in candidate

 Director District 4

  • Joseph Smith — who is currently the District four director
  • Catherine Rich

 Director District 5

  • No candidates

 Director At Large

  • Jeannie Peters — who is currently the Director at-large
