The Salida Business Alliance regular meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 16 meeting will feature two speakers: Michael Hannigan, founding executive director of Chaffee County Community Foundation (CCCF), and representative of Sustainable Salida Michael Kunkel.
According to Hannigan, CCCF brings together the resources of individuals, families and businesses to support effective non-profits in the Chaffee County area. For the past year, its accomplished and active board have been steadily working in the community. It has established seven donors-advised and fiscal-sponsored funds which help direct resources to local needs.
Kunkel’s topic from Sustainable Salida will focus on explaining where Salida businesses can recycle and what can be recycled. The goal is to make Salida businesses more involved in making their businesses and the city more ‘green.’
