The Salida Chamber of Commerce released their Annual Community Awards in a video via Facebook on January 22. The Chamber named The Alliance as Business of the Year.

Alliance Executive Director, Shelley Schreiner said “We are so excited to be recognized in this way. We’re extremely fortunate to have the support of a community that values our work to empower individuals beyond domestic and sexual violence through advocacy, education, and social change.”

Schreiner continued, “We couldn’t do what we do without the generous support of our  community. Thank you for standing with us in 2020 and beyond.”

Winner of the From the Heart award is Salida Community Director Elaine Allemang.

The 2020 Man of the Year Award goes to Chaffee County Emergency Medical Services Director Josh Hadley. In the Chamber’s video Hadley said, “In all honesty I am extremely honored.”

2020 Woman of the Year award goes to Chaffee County Public Health Director Andrea Carlstrom for her self-sacrifice as well as her personal commitment and dedication to the community. Carlstrom said she is honored and humbled to receive the award.

For innovation Daniel and Roxanne Sachtleben of Heart of the Rockies Anytime Fitness received the Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Finally, the 2020 Wanted award goes to Barbra Pearson-Sawyer for her community involvement.
