The Salida Chamber of Commerce will host its annual “Kickoff to Winter…Stay Another Day” mini-expo which will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, in the SteamPlant ballroom.
This special event is to help promote winter tourism, and it is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to showcase their services through networking, swapping ideas, as well as mix and mingle with your neighbor businesses before the winter season gets into full force. Those looking to attend also have an opportunity to learn all there is to do during the colder months.
This event is not only free to Salida Chamber member businesses, but to the public as well. There will be Domino’s pizza, a beer taster from Elevation (one per person), and a cash bar.
Lori Roberts commented, “We encourage anyone out there to attend, and we encourage businesses to send their concierge, bartender, waitstaff and salesmen to attend so they can become more knowledgeable about the place they live to educate future visitors. This free event is one way the Salida Chamber of Commerce can give back to the community.”
Following the expo, Monarch Ski Lodge and Resort will show a ski film in the theatre. Tickets for their film will go on sale on Friday, Nov. 1, for $20 a ticket.
There are no vendor costs associated for Chamber members and only a $25 charge for non-member vendors. Space is limited for vendors, so the Salida Chamber of Commerce is asking for businesses interested in a vendor slot to RSVP now at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (719) 539-2068.
