The Salida Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will host its 2021 Golf Scramble from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on May 21. The event requires preregistration and costs $160 for a team of four or $40 per person. According to the press release received form the Chamber, “Teams must have at least one player of the opposite sex.”

The event fee includes the nine-hole round of golf, one mulligan each, food, drink, and a starter kit from Ryan Lynch with American Family Insurance. Golf carts are not included and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Handcarts will also be available.

There will be opportunities to win “swag” and prizes will be given away for low gross, low net, closest to the pin, accurate drive, and long drive. Upon exit, golfers will receive their pre-ordered snack box and a can of wine or beer. Food options include a brat, hot dog, burger, or veggie burger with a side of tater tots.

Due to COVID-19 occupancy restrictions, the restaurant will not be open to the public during the scramble, however, players may patronize the restaurant and bar during the event. As with years past, sign sponsorships are available for $100 featuring business names and phone numbers. Sign sponsorships are not part of the registration but an opportunity for businesses to showcase their company and support the Chamber.

New this year, the Chamber will have complimentary commemorative team photos by Catherine Eichel Photography, Inc.

Preregister your team by calling 719-539-2068 or emailing office@salidachamber.org  All participants must preregister before May 10 but early registration allows for the time slot you want. Entry fees may be paid via Venmo, through mailed check or cash, over the phone with a credit card, or in-person at the Salida Chamber.

Registration must include names of players and contact information of the team lead. Food orders will be requested for each individual closer to the event. The Chamber asks that participants be courteous and expect to make room for other teams exiting the course. This year, The usual Chamber “Business After Hours” will not be held following the Golf Scramble.
