Starting Monday, August 31 through Tuesday, October 27, Salida Circus will host world-class aerialist Emily Wegert as their Aerial Artist in Residence. Wegert will spend Mondays and Tuesdays in Salida teaching intermediate to advanced aerial classes. She will also provide aerial tutor training sessions. Skills offered will include single silks, double silks, trapeze and lyra.

Emily and her husband Chris are a trapeze duo, Aerial Aura, who have headlined Salida Circus for the past four years. One of their more recent performances took place in Crested Butte where they performed duo trapeze from a hot air balloon.

Wegert’s residency is being partially funded by the Sheila Fortune Foundation. Classes and private lessons will be offered at the usual rates.

This opportunity will also allow Salida residents to train with a world-class aerialist. If you are interested in scheduling a private lesson or attending a four-person class, email
