On Tuesday July 21, the Salida City Council approved Resolution 2020-26 which adopts the 2020/2021 Policy Statement for the Colorado Communities for Climate Action.

Salida is a member of the Colorado Communities for Climate Action (CC4CA). This organization is dedicated to pursuing climate initiatives at state, legislative and policy levels. Annually, the CC4CA adopts a policy statement that guides the actions of staff and the organization.
The resolution adopting the new Policy Statement was approved unanimously by the council. According to the CC4CA policy statement “Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is at the heart of CC4CA’s policy positions. CC4CA supports the state’s new goals for reducing emissions and regulatory actions that support or accelerate meaningful emission reductions.”
